actually in the bathroom puking with the pain. The headache wasn't completely gone today, and my knees still feel rough, but I couldn't bear skipping another day, so I went back and followed the week 1 podcast tonight.
Ouch. Between the pounding knees and head I felt like I had no business out there. I managed to finish the podcast (barely) but I modified the course so I ended up at my door right when it ended. I also walked a little extra at the end and didnt finish up the last run sequence.
Hopefully this is just a passing illness, I feel like I'm going downhill instead of uphill.
Ouch sorry to hear about the pain! I would definitely reduce your exercise to the bare minimum! Any extra should be eliminated. Also I would recommend icing your knees afterwards, that will aid the recovery greatly. Last question would be are you doing any stretching? I can show you some stretches that might help alleviate the pain.
ReplyDeleteBottom line is take it easy. This is what happens to almost everyone who starts something like this (including me.) The change from doing nothing to doing something takes a while for your body to adjust. If you need to prolong the time frame by walking more and running less do it!
