Paula Radcliffe

http://bit.ly/5KWpJW

I had a long day at the office today, so when I got home, I just put on the sweatpants, and sprinted around the block a few times till my Nike+ told me I had gone a little over a mile.  At the end of the run, a European female voice came on and congratulated me for achieving my personal best time for a mile.  Turns out it was Paula Radcliffe, and she just wanted to hack into my iPhone and tell me how awesome I was.

I wonder why she didn't call to say anything yesterday when Nike+ said I ran a 6:45 minute mile?  If you look at yesterday's graph, it shows a real drastic up and down pace, but I stayed pretty steady the whole time.  I think I should probably start using gmap pedometer to calibrate each run to make sure I'm not "cheating" myself.

Oh well, thanks anyway Paula!

ugh

Its amazing the difference two months makes.  In a few weeks I'll be back to normal.  Now its labored breathing, burning lungs, singing knees, and constant phlegm buildup!

I always wondered why people spit when they run.  Now I know.  Heavy mouth breathing leads to phlegm buildup, which leads to gagging amounts of mucus, till I either spit or choke.

Hows that for the joy of running?

Gateway to nowhere

I havent run at all since the last post.  Ironically, I've lost over 14 pounds since then!  I think its a combination of pressure at work, and the Grapefruit Diet.

I think after the race I just pooped out cause that was the goal I had set, and I failed to set another one for myself.

I'm getting that urge again though, so maybe this time I'll try setting a goal that is a bit further reaching.

Running with Zombies

I've been sticking to the training plan so far, and just finished week five.  A while back I posted a short message about a cool runnin...
