a bridge too far

I'm way behind schedule, so I decided to skip another week in the podcast series. I did the week 4 podcast tonight, and beside some side stitches, I felt ok.

I decided that I'd go to the 2nd bridge again tonight. There is a dirt path that I've been taking, and if I go far enough, I pass two wooden bridges. If I go to the 2nd bridge and back home, its about 3.3 miles. Since that's about what I need for the 5k, I figured I'd just keep doing that. Hopefully if I skip a few more podcasts, I'll be running the whole thing in about 30 days! For now, its follow the podcast run/walk, and then walk the rest of the way once it ends.

My knees have been no problem at all. I'll keep up the icing after the runs. I think the ice and the dirt path instead of the sidewalk is helping a lot! I also noticed it helps a lot if I drink a 5th of vodka right when I get done with the run. Thanks coach!
