ran a little

So last night I ran a little unexpectedly. I haven't been sleeping well cause of a pesky kidney stone. Well yesterday morning I finally passed it, and last night I went to bed pretty early and dropped right to sleep!

About 2:00am my crazy cat starts zipping around the house like he's possessed by Sonic the Hedgehog. He ran into the walls a few times, knocked over something in the kitchen, knocked his food bowl off the clothes dryer, etc. I was able to mostly ignore this until he started eating the dog food. This dosent sound too bad, but whenever he does this, its inevitable that he will puke it back up somewhere in the house, usually someplace really inconvenient, like on your pillow, or in your shoe, or on the computer keyboard.

So the moment I heard the _crunch_crunch_crunch_ of the dog food being eaten, I jumped out of bed like there was a fire and ran into the room with the cat. He heard me coming, and the chase around the dark house began.

I cornered him in the kitchen, and just about grabbed him, but he shot up on top of the kitchen cabinets. He was up there glaring at me with a look of feline satisfaction that just got my blood boiling. I grabbed a squirt bottle out of the bathroom we normally use for haircuts, and started soaking anything in the kitchen that moved.

Eventually he rocketed off the top of the cabinets, and disappeared into the house somewhere.

I turned on all the lights in the house and could not find him anywhere.

I decided to take another tactic and lure him out, so I sat down at the computer and surfed a bit. Sure enough, he strolled into the office like nothing had happened and brushed up against my legs.

I grabbed him, and with an insane cackle, locked him in the bathroom.

I realized that the running around caused my knee pain to flare up again and it had mostly faded. I have been walking about a mile and a half since the 4th, and there is a little soreness, but nothing like what had been zapping me with the running.

I'll keep walking for now, and keep taking it slow! That is unless the cat starts up the crunching again.
